Principal’s Message
Dear Pirate Nation,
As we begin week three, our students will participate in Progress Monitoring 1 (PM1) assessments in Reading and Mathematics on Tuesday and Thursday. These assessments provide valuable information about each student's current skills and help us identify strengths, growth areas, and the support needed to ensure success throughout the year.
We encourage all students to do their very best by taking their time, reading each question carefully, and putting forth their best effort. The purpose of PM1 is not to earn a grade, but to give us a clear picture of what students know and what they still need to learn. The results help our teachers plan instruction, provide targeted interventions, and celebrate student growth.
Parents can support their children by ensuring they get a good night's sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, arrive at school on time, and maintain a positive attitude about testing. Remind your child that this assessment is an opportunity to show what they know and help us understand how we can best support their learning journey.
Together, we can use this information to help every student grow and achieve their full potential this school year.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
